An accompanied duet for flute and clarinet. The piece begins as a round between the flute and clarinet where it joins with the piano in an accompaniment figure. It continues in this manner while the piano presents the melody. It continues in an antiphonal manner in the solos while the piano undergirds it with arpeggios. The piece modulates and now is in a more bold style and block duet format and contiuues that way until the end – in a declamatory manner.
