God Rest Ye Good Christian Men
This brass duet is scored for French horn, Trombone and Piano with optional trumpet for horn and baritone for trombone. While moderately easy it is joyfully colorful in passing the themes between parts and adding splashes of melodic motives as well. The piece uses a lot of imitation and hocket devices to keep the players and listeners all rejoicing.

Good Christian Men, Rejoice
Traditional string quartet with opt. violin part for viola. The piece is rendered as a march with the tune clearly stated in the first violin and then becomes more chordal in the upper three parts. A transition is now presented in an imitation of parts with dynamic changes for interest and further then the cello takes over with the tune while the upper parts give harmonic support. The piece progresses to be more block in harmonic and rhythmical structure only to be turned over to imitation in the melodic material. The coda section is much like the introduction material and builds in dynamic force, only to be concluded with a pizzicato final note.

Good Christian Men, Rejoice
Four Plus Brass Series- for two Trumpets and two Trombones (with opt. Horn and Tuba for color). Presented in a jaunty and rollicking meter with the tune in the first trumpet. Later it is passed to the first trombone. The middle section of the work strays from the traditional tune for interest only to gravitate back to it. The final section mimics the first section and brings the piece to a final punctuation.
