My Faith Has Found A Resting Place

The second melodic statement is very ornamented with a lot of flourish. The next section is a variation using a triplet figure leading where the next phrase is in quadruplets. With a brief pause the piece becomes much slower and expressive and continues in that manner until the piece lies in repose.

All That Thrills My Soul Is Jesus

There Is A Fountain
A viola solo with piano accompaniment begins in a reflective mood joined by the soloist in a plaintive statement of the melody. After a modulation the tune is presented with harmony in double stops and continues with an optional “up the octave” for more impact. This all comes to a point of repose and conclusion.
-
Now I Belong To Jesus
A viola solo with piano accompaniment begins with a reflective motif. The soloist then presents itself in the upper register of the instrument, although in a rather plaintive fashion. The second section augments itself with extended rhythms and gentle runs. A brief modulation moves to the middle range of the viola along with melodic embellishments where it settles into an elevated conclusion.
-
In The Cross Of Christ I Glory
A viola solo with piano. The beginning is presented in a solemn manner with the viola carrying on the same flavor. After transitional material in the solo a subtle manner in the viola with “Haydnesque” melodies into a ingenious fabric while the piano masks the original melody. The viola once again takes over the title tune , modulates into the alternate tune and slows down to a sense of solemnity..
-
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
A viola solo with piano accompaniment begins in a reflective mood joined by the soloist in a plaintive statement of the melody. Then up the octave with a vigorous accompaniment giving a sense of urgency takes place. The second section gives way to the tune in the piano while the solo gives movement with a moving obbligato. This all comes to a point of repose and then gravitates to a statement of the introduction in the piano.
