Beginning with a fanfare motif (in Eb) the theme alternates between dynamic shifts as though a question and answer. The lower instruments then augment the melody, followed by imitation in the upper voices. The ending mirrors the fanfare of the beginning.

There Is A Fountain
Traditionally score string quartet with piano and opt. 3rd vioin.The theme is well distributed between the parts and little motivic devise really enhance the flavor of the writing.The piece is well edited to assist players of all degrees.

This trio for Easter renders a simple and gentle movement that is continually flowing with tontrapuntal lines that exudes wonderment- truly a piece that causes reflection. There is activity in each of the parts and the melodic material is passed around for interest. If you want a piece for reflection this might well be the piece for you.

The Old Rugged Cross
This cello solo begins with a flowing-like accompaniment and is then joined with a somewhat straight forward rendition of the traditional tune in the solo line. As it progresses it becomes more and more embellished. After a brief interlude by the accompaniment the solos continues in a highly embellished manner. While the piece is obviously technical it gives the skilled player an opportunity to display a lot of expression and add to the meaning of the hymn.
